With thick fluffy snow flakes raining down but predicted temperatures above 30 for Thursday, December 11, the Skyline community had one question: would we have another snow day?
Alas, no.
For those of us who were on the road just this morning, conditions weren’t ideal. Whether it be the hard snow or ice, it was even worse for people coming in from dirt roads.
The danger of these conditions when temperatures rise above freezing is that the roads become wet and slippery. There is increased potential for sliding off the road or drifting.
The trip to or from school has the potential to go from difficult to deadly: the perfect conditions for the school to call a snow day.
