The spookiness and terror are going to show up very soon! Welcome back, Halloween!
Judging by how many rooms around school are beautifully decorated with plastic pumpkins and skeleton skulls, the Skyline community seems pretty excited for this holiday.
Skyline students shared what they’re doing for Halloween pre-preparations. “I am going to be Beetlejuice from Beetlejuice,” said Elise Fettig (‘26). “I’m gonna go to Spirit Halloween, buy a costume, and then dye my hair green. I set up a big, giant skeleton inflatable thing in my front yard, and I have some other decorations that I need to put out. I might make some halloween snacks, and I might also have a little Halloween movie night. Maybe I’ll bring some stuff to school like goodie bags, and some lactose intolerant treats for Miss Phillips.”
Madi Loerwald (‘27) also shared that “it’s my friend’s birthday on Halloween. So, we – like me and a bunch of friends, are gonna go to her house. We’re gonna go trick or treating around her neighborhood. I can just be like the loner teenager with the bag with the group of kids, watching them.”
John Longworth (‘28) has plans as well. “[I] usually go set up for decoration and carve some pumpkins with my family.”

Ariana Flores (‘26) also loved to reveal her activities for Halloween. “I am going to Detroit with my siblings. We’re going to Youmacon for four days. I’m going to dress up as three characters: one of them being Jinx from Arcane, the beloved series. The two other costumes are gonna be Pochita from Chainsaw Man and Eternal Sugar Cookie from the heat series Cookie Run: Kingdom. I’ll probably go with the Jinx cosplay on Halloween since it’s the most comfortable. I made one of Jinx’s most essential weapons, called Fishbones, which is basically a giant missile launcher. I’m currently finishing up everything I’m working on.”
Happy Halloween Skyline!
