“As a new student this year [at] Skyline and [in Michigan], I expected it to be a little harder to make friends this year. I’ve been the new kid half a dozen times but I’ve never relocated further than across town. I did powerlifting at my old school before I moved and belonged to a gym. Through my new gym I have made loads of friends. Another reason I enjoy powerlifting is the good habits that it has helped me develop. In work, school, and even everyday life, I have noticed all around improvements that I can attribute to my sport. On top of all that, the physical and mental benefits of the sport are endless. Being able to look back at pictures from the prior years and seeing a drastic difference is awesome.”
