Skyline Theater Holds Auditions for Fall Show, The Pirates of Penzance!
After a highly successful year of musicals, comedies, and dramas, Skyline Theater is preparing for auditions for its Spring Production of The Pirates of Penzance! Auditions will be held May 30th after school at 4 pm, with callbacks the following on June 2nd, both in the Blackbox Theater (Room C204).
The Pirates of Penzance follows a young pirate-hater named Fredric, himself a pirate by internment until his 21st year on this earth, and in turn, his freedom. But, while he has been alive for 21 years, Fredric has only had 5 birthdays, as he was born on the 29th of February. He leaves the ship, only to find himself swept into the treacherous sea of pirates, police, and pitiful attempts at seduction. There’s a lot of pizzazz in every part, even (and especially) for the backing characters!
