Mason Ruhfel (’27), Eleanor Wing (’26), Shekinah Chikosi (’28), and Louis Grengs (’27) getting ready to sing at the Michigan vs. Villanova basketball game.
“I ended up singing the national anthem at the Michigan vs. Villanova basketball game… honestly, it was surreal. It didn’t even fully hit me until they started setting up the microphones and I looked around and the stadium was massive. Originally, I wasn’t even supposed to sing. They asked the ASL class at Community High School to help out for the game, but then the teacher asked me and a few other choir students if we’d want to perform instead, and that’s kind of how it all happened. I’ve been singing since sixth grade, but this was on a whole different level.”
