Standing at 14-14, Skyline freshman basketball has many standout players and high hopes for the remainder of the season. They offer talent for the future of Skyline basketball.
The team is very confident in their abilities to win games. “We’re pretty good defensively, but we can be inconsistent offensively,” says player Alex Murrell (‘29).
The Eagles have faced some fierce opponents this year. “The toughest opponent so far is definitely Harper Woods,” says Murrell.
Skyline has been working on their skills during practice. “Strengths, you know, we can knock down for three,” says player Amir Franklin (‘29). “We need to make better passes and really just work on our IQ a bit more,” says player Herman Radtke (‘29).
Several players, including Murrell, are planning on returning to the program next year. “I will try out for the JV team next year,” says Herman. With confidence for the rest of the season, the freshmen are looking to keep that record up. We can look forward to seeing these boys in the coming years. “My goal is to just help the team win, prosper, and see everybody get better,” says Herman (‘29)
