38% of the Skyline women’s varsity soccer team are seniors: Elle Kierce (‘26), Gabi Marble (‘26), Adira Maze (‘26), Cecilia Miller (‘26), River Pham (‘26), Jade Thompson (‘26), Quincy Tramontin (‘26), and Kennedy Wassef (‘26).
The four captains, Pham, Thompson, Wassef, and Kierce, have all made their impact. Each of them brings their own strengths to the team, encouraging everybody to improve.
“River always pushes us to our highest potential. Jade is reliable and there when we need her most,” says Olivia Serlin (‘28). “Elle is our strong communicator on and off the field, and Kennedy never fails to brighten the mood.”
These seniors will leave behind a team shaped by their influence. With all of them playing at least three years on the team, there are many lessons they hope the underclassmen will continue to pass on as they welcome the next group of players.
“The seniors have a huge impact on the team,” says Rain Pham (‘28). “They show what it means to work hard and stay positive.”
As this group of impactful women leaves the program, Wassef hopes that future generations of players will, “be open to the new people you will meet, it is definitely a place where you can make new friends. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, because it’ll show up and your progress will excel. Enjoy the experience of being a part of the team because it goes by faster than you think.”
The soon-to-be graduates shared their plans next year with The Post:
- “I love soccer and hope to be able to play on the club team at BYU or on an intramural team there,” says Thompson. “I plan to major in nursing. I’ve always been interested in helping people and being in a career where I can make a real difference.”

- “I will definitely consider playing on the Michigan club team or intramural,” says Wassef. “I am going to be majoring in Industrial Design. I really became interested in it because I have always liked combining creativity and problem solving to be able to design things that are functional and visually appealing to people to enjoy.”

- “I plan on playing for the Michigan State club team to continue staying active and continue playing the game I love,” says Tramontin. “In college I am studying human biology. I became interested in going into the health department early on in high school because of my bio and health classes.”

- “I may try out for the club team at Michigan, but more likely I will play some intramural soccer or a pickup game here or there,” says Maze. “I will be studying biology on the pre-med track. I have always enjoyed science, and recently have been loving my AP Bio class, so I decided I wanted to major in Bio.”

- “I am attending college at North Central College to play soccer,” says River Pham. “I’m going to be majoring in nursing because I really want my career to be focused on helping others.”

- “I’m going to Denison University to play soccer,” says Kierce. “I am currently undecided on my major but have interests in interior design.”
