“This is a photo of my dinner from August 24th. It’s composed of three dishes: One of them is eggplant… The second one is shrimp and broccoli… [and] the third one is Chinese vegetable[s]. I have been taking a picture of my dinner everyday since October 6th, 2022… I think it’s a combination of multiple things: I think the first thing is just to be thankful for my parents, and really anyone who makes food; I think food’s one of the greatest pleasures of life. Number two, I think it’s also about recording my past: I like looking through all my photos and seeing what I did every day… some days… I go to a restaurant, [or] I go to a party, [but] most of the days it’s just a picture of the dinner table, [and] that’s perfectly fine. I think those are the best pictures.”
