Blake Farms
Blake Farms in South Lyon is where my family and I have gone for my whole life. Every year my family and I go to pick apples and get their famous cider and donuts. We agree that this orchard is by far one of the best you can go to. They are open from 8am-7pm everyday.
From tractor rides to picking apples to their delicious cider and donuts, Blake Farms is a very affordable and relaxing place to visit during fall. For a small bag of 30 apples it will be $30. They also offer different gift sets with a variety of their products. Prices range from $20-$50. The farm has varieties of apples, a petting zoo for younger kids, and haunted attractions for families to get into the spooky spirit.
Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill
Plymouth Orchards and Cider Mill is another fantastic orchard you could visit! Plymouth Cider Mill has been up and running for the last 25 years. They are open from Labor Day weekend until the first weekend of November. Their Red Shed Market is open daily from 10 am-6 pm, September 4th to November 24th.
There are 16 different apples to choose from. Another big seller at Plymouth Cider Mill is of course, their tasteful cider. It costs $13 for a gallon and a half gallon for only $8. In addition to the delicious foods, there are scenic wagon rides, pumpkin picking, and friendly farm animals. There is no additional fee to enter the Mill. The only thing that you will have to pay for is the diverse variety of products they offer to their customers. Plymouth Cider Mill is a very family-friendly and affordable place to visit this fall.
As winter gets closer and orchards start closing, there is limited time to visit. So get ready to pick apples and have an amazing time with your family and friends!
