The election is right around the corner and although the deadline for online registration has passed…new voters, you have other options. If you haven’t completed online registration two weeks prior to the election, the best action to take is in person registration.
You’ll need to stop by your local clerk’s office with proof of residency to register up until the day of election. Click here to see where your local clerk is.
But first let’s make sure you’re eligible for registration: Are you 18? United States citizen? Michigan resident? And not currently serving time in jail? If you answered yes, you are eligible for registration as well as voting!
To find your voting location, click here. When you arrive at your voting site November 5th, make sure you have proof of residency with you. This includes drivers license, passport, utility bills, school enrollment documents, paycheck, etc.
Don’t stress if you have yet to register. What’s important is that you still can. Do not forget voting isn’t just our right, but also a vital responsibility to ensure our voices are heard!
