Applying for college is expensive. Unless you qualify for fee waivers (see your counselor!), for nearly every school there is a $50-70 application fee.
The Michigan State admissions team recently announced that applications for Fall 2025 submitted between October 1-15 will be free.
In an email to The Skyline Post, MSU admissions confirmed that “The MCAN [Michigan College Application Network] free application dates for first-year applicants for Fall Semester 2025 are October 1-15 (11:59 PM), and the fee waiver code is Spartan1855.”
Michigan State admissions confirmed that one of the main reasons they are offering this opportunity is because many other schools are too.
